(Day #65) Phu My, Vietnam

We came to Vietnam in 2008.  We had two ports of call then and we had decided not to take a tour this time.

Our ship anchored at a working dock so all we saw were large trailers.  There was suppose to be a shuttle into a town but we didn’t feel like it was really safe.  We are talking third world country again.  There were some little shops set up on the pier next to our ship.  We went out and took a look at them but came back empty handed.

We came back to our room.  Dennis played computer games and I read.  We did get in a couple of Phase 10 games. (Dennis won both games)  We didn’t even go up for lunch because we were going to a early dinner at the Pinnacle Grill.  We like to go early for dinner there because it is quiet then and also we can joke around with the girls that wait on the tables.  They work there and at the Neptune Lounge here on the 7th floor by our room.

It was during dinner when the captain came on the intercom and told us not to worry about any tsunami hitting us.  There was a earthquake in Japan that was a 8.9 magnitude.  Just to show you how boring we are, we didn’t even know there had been a earthquake.
