Wake up call was at 4:00 am. We had to have our suitcases out in the hall by 4:30. We had a quick breakfast and was on our way to the train station by 5:15.
We were glad that we never tried doing the train on our own!!
Once we arrived at the railway station, we boarded our buses.
The little vehicles were nicknamed tut tuts.
We arrived at the ITC Mughal Hotel for 2nd breakfast.
After breakfast we were on our way to the Taj Mahal.
We saw trash every where!! I even saw people squat down and do a dump right a long the road. That’s not counting guys peeing on walls.
We also saw women making these pizzas size disks of cow manure mixed with straw. They would lay them out in rows to dry. These would be used as fuel to cook with.
Can you believe it, we are at the Taj Mahal!!!!!
There is a fort like buildings that surrounds the Taj Mahal and a gate way in.
This is the gate way.
People lined up to go inside the building to see tombs of the wife named Mumtaz Mahal who the Taj Mahal was built and the Emperor Shah Jahan.
Some boys had asked Dennis to take their group picture. Just before we were to leave, they saw us again and wanted their picture taken with us in it. They were a cute group of young men.
