There is so much history and so much to see in Rome.
Our ship docked in Civitavecchia so it was 1 1/2 hour drive to Rome.
Dennis was in the seat in front of me on the bus. I didn’t realize that he was having problems breathing. He wanted to just stay on the bus but they wouldn’t let him. We just took our time walking. It always scares me to death. We had also picked up a Rome guide. Our first stop was at the Trevi Fountain and the church next to it.
Our port guide decided that Dennis could not continue this walking tour. She got a taxi and took him to where we would meet up again. Thank goodness that she took such good care of him. If you look at the picture below you will see that a couple of the windows are painted in to balance out the front of the fountain.

This is the Piazza Venezia Monument.
The column of Emperor Trajan that was erected in 110 A.D.
The Roman ruins where started by Julius Caesar and completed by Augustus.
