Surprise, we are in Egypt. This was suppose to be another sea day but a day ago the captain tells us that we are going to Egypt. Happy Birthday to Dennis!!
Not a protester in sight.
In one day the ship was able to get passengers signed up for the tours and the tickets out to their rooms. Basically all the tours were going to the same places. The Valley of the Kings, Temple of Luxor, and the Temple of Karnac. It is going to be a ten hour tour and we have seen it before so we decided not to go. Tomorrow is Petra.
We knew that we had pulled into port but we were slow about getting up. (7:15 a.m.) Most of these last working ports look about the same. Dennis opens the blinds and yes it looks like any other port until he looked down beside the ship.
We are not sure if it was good stuff they were going through or not. Dennis got another surprise this morning when we had our breakfast delivered.
“Super Star” always brings our breakfast every morning. He brought a few of his friends to help sing to Dennis. They brought him a birthday cake with a candle.
We never left the ship today so this is what we could see from there.
By noon the workers had almost everything cleaned up out on the pier.
We went to dinner at the Pinnacle Grill. They brought Dennis another birthday cake with two candles. No singing this time.
The buses where late getting back from their tours. As soon as the last person was on, the ship left for Aqaba (for Petra). We lose an hour of time tonight.
