"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain

***Jerusalem, #3***

The tranquility and beauty of the grounds of the Garden Tomb is so peaceful.  Golgotha is a hill near which the Garden Tomb is situated.  This is believed to be the place of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection of Jesus.

We had an appointment at the Jerusalem Center at 3:00.  The students where gone on a field trip to Jordan.  There are only 80 students out of 170 possible going to school at this time.  We were shown a film about the school and then we went into the room used for Sacrament meetings.  This room over looks the old city of Jerusalem.  A couple from Provo who are there as Service Missionaries talked to us for a few minutes.  Then the gentleman played the organ for us.  Part of his calling has been to come and clean and fine tune the organ.

We went to the Garden of Gethsemane with The Church of All Nations set next to it.

This tree has been nicknamed “The Witness” because it is over two thousand years old.

Amidst the trees is the Russian Orthodox Church of Mary Magdalene.

We hiked back up the hill and walked over to the Orson Hyde Park.

Last of all we drove to the top of the Mount of Olives and looked out over the city.  There are massive cemeteries down the hill and in front of the walls of the old city.  If you were to get closer to the cemetery you would be able to see rocks placed on the graves.  Instead of bring flowers when a person comes to visit the grave a rock is placed there.

Now we  made our way back to Ashdod and saying good-bye to Aladin.
