Day 32 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

We arrived in Halifax about 8:00 and we docked next to Pier 21. A Holland American ship came in this morning too. It was a little crazy outside with both ships getting passengers on tours and other people like us who wanted to do independent activities.

We walked out on the boardwalk along the pier. It was such a beautiful morning. The sun was shinning and there was a cool breeze. By afternoon it warmed up to about 75 degrees.

After about a hour and a half of walking and site seeing, Dennis got us a taxi that took us up to the Citadel. The Citadel is a star-shaped fort build in 1749. The taxis came back and drove us back to the pier.

Sharon had decided that she had done enough walking and she went back on the ship. Dennis and I headed back out for some more shopping and lunch. By the time we got back on the ship we were tired!!

About two hours after we had sailed away from the port and we were upstairs eating there came a "coded medical message" on the intercom. A few minutes later a helicopter flew to our ship. We are not sure what happened after that.

With what happened tonight, that makes three medical emergencies for this cruise that we know of.

Tomorrow we have the task of packing our bags and getting ready to leave the ship in New York City the next day.
