(Day #46) Sydney, Australia

Sydney is one of our favorite ports.  The temperature rose up into the nineties.

We set off early in the morning by cab to go to the car rental place.  The
gentleman at Thrifty's program a GPS so we could find the Sydney Temple.
We never would have found the temple without it.  We were so surprised that
the temple was right next to a busy road.  When I say right next to the road, I
really mean it.  We have never seen a temple with a fence so close to the entrance.
It is a beautiful building but smaller than what we though it would be like.

The second thing we wanted to do was to drive to the Blue Mountains.  We are not
sure how we did it but we found our way there.  We were also surprised that we
found "Scenic World".

Dennis bought us tickets and we went off to do the train ride first.  It is hard to
tell you how the red train cars were shaped but they were not square.  We got in
and it started up an incline.  All of a sudden we went over the top going straight down.
It was so steep that you ended standing straight up on the foot rest in front.  The ride
only lasted a couple of minutes but it was long enough to get the heart beating fast.

After walking around on some trails, we took the Skyride back up the mountain.
Our last ride was on the tram that went across the gorge and back again.

We traveled the two hour ride back to Sydney.  We needed to return the rental car
at the airport.  After a crazy time at the huge airport, we were able to leave the car.
Dennis got us a limousine to drive us back to the ship.  The wait for a taxi would
have taken close to a hour to get.
