"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain

(Day #43) Hobart

Happy 6th Birthday P.J.!!!

Dennis had rented a car for the day.  We love just being able to go out where we want.

We headed out towards Richmond where most of the tours from the ship went today.
There is a wildlife park there.

As we traveled along the road, we really missed the green landscape and sunny skies of
New Zealand.  Heck, we missed the nicer McDonalds too.

We got to Richmond just fine but didn't see any sign for the Wildlife Park.  We started down
a road and just kept going.  We ended up heading towards Port Arthur where the ship will
anchor tomorrow.  We wanted to see this area because we won't have a car then.

We saw some really amazing sites and landscape we would have missed if we had stayed
in Richmond.

Port Arthur was a very harsh penal settlement from 1830 to 1877.  This was the prison that
housed the most hardened prisoners and repeat offenders.  We went to the visitor's center
there but we needed to start back to Hobart so we didn't go into the site.

Dinner tonight was a Aussie Outback BBQ held up on the Lido deck.
