"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain

Things I want to Remember about Australia

These are the things I want to remember about Australia:

1. A regular diet coke cost $3.00 each. If we were in a tourist area, then a diet coke cost $4.00 each.

2. They drive on the left side of the road.

3. Melbourne has been ranked as the world's most livable city.

4. Melbourne has horse racing - The Melbourne Cup.

5. Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney all have a LDS temple.

6. Perth is in the state of West Australia.

7. Melbourne is in the state of Victoria.

8. Sydney is in the state of New South Wales.

9. The Sydney Opera House was started March 1959 and formally opened Oct. 20, 1973.

10. Sydney is Australia's most expensive city and the 21st most expensive in the world.

11. HUGE group of people ride the ferry to and from work every day.

12. Our cruise ship parked right in the main harbor with a amazing views of both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

13. People climb up to the top of this bridge. You can't just go on your own. You have to book a time and go with a guided tour group.

14. It was spring time and they had a lot of interesting and beautiful flowers and trees. It was a great time of the year to go. It was cooler and the humdity was low making it very comfortable.

15. Australia's indigenous people are Aborigines. They believe in Dreamtime. They play the didgeridoos which is a ceremonial musical instrument that has deep throbbing notes. Most of them now live on reservations.

16. It is a wonderful country!!!
