Day 4 - Getting on the ship

We got up early to make sure we had enough time. We ate our breakfast, checked out of the hotel, and drove to Gatwick. It took a few trips around the terminal before we found the right place to return the car. After the rental car was taken care of, we each had a trolley filled with our suitcases and we headed off to find our connection to the Princess Cruise Line.

On the way to Southampton our bus driver told us that the Titanic left from our port. Thanks a lot!! I bet they won't show that movie on the ship.

Boy the ship is huge! We have never traveled on such a large ship. Our room is next to the last one down the hall. We will get a lot of exercise just by going for meals and Cruise Lady meetings.

At dinner we met the "Cruise Lady" whose name is Diane Larsen. She is very flamboyant and we wondered what we had gotten ourselves into.
