Things I want to Remember about China.....
1. There are lots and lots of people.
2. They drive on the same side of the road as we do.
3. If you miss hitting a car, another bus, bike, or person by 1 inch, then you have plenty of room.
4. You will probably want to close your eyes when the tour bus goes through an intersection or in a traffic jam.
5. Most people hang their washing out on their balconies or anywhere where there is a wire.
6. Only 10% of the people practice Buddhism and the other 90% are atheist. That is what communism has taught them.
We have had to have some kind of inspection for every country we want to enter. The whole ship including the crew have to pass the inspection before we are able to leave the ship.
1. In Japan we had to have our passports and take them to the inspectors. There they checked our face to the picture in the passport and then we had to give them finger prints.
2. In China we just had the face to passport inspection.
3. In Hong Kong we had to go to a required temperature check. They are trying to prevent any more SARS.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain
