We woke up to snow! The road from Jacob Lake Inn to the north rim of the Grand Canyon was only cleared one lane wide. It was a little slow going not only because of the road but because the wind was blowing snow. The ranger said we were the first car to come into the park for the day. The other road into the park was closed because at 18 various places trees had fallen onto the road.
There was a small visitor center and a gift shop open but everything else was closed for the winter.
A controlled fire set by the forest rangers got out of control and wiped out this area about ten years ago.
