Our drive to Nauvoo took about eight hours. It rained off and on all day. The rain made the color of the trees even more beautiful.
We did not have time to stop in Hannibal as we had planned. By the time we got to Carthage, IL, the visitor center was closed but we still took some pictures around the jail.
It had been an extra long day for Dennis. He had driven the whole way after just getting out of the hospital! Thank you Dennis.
